About Alfonso Chen
Alfonso Chen is an immigration lawyer in our Vancouver office providing services in both Mandarin and English. Alfonso is available to assist clients with a wide range of immigration matters. His core areas of practice include permanent residence appeals and judicial reviews (particularly those involving humanitarian and compassionate grounds), permanent residence and temporary residence applications, and matters involving the interplay between immigration laws and criminal or employment issues. With a history of successfully appealing and applying for decisions on behalf of clients, Alfonso commits to providing clients with effective and persuasive advocacy and detailed and understandable advice.
Alfonso immigrated to Canada in 1997 and became a Canadian citizen in 2002, thereafter obtaining in Vancouver both his law degree (from the University of British Columbia) and his license to practice law (granted by the Law Society of British Columbia). Outside of work, he volunteers for several organizations across British Columbia and across Canada and enjoys trying new cuisines from across Metro Vancouver.
